Organization Hacks for Busy Moms
Being a mom isn’t an easy task. You have to take your kids to school and extracurricular activities, cook for the family, clean the house and go to work. If you are the kind of mother that is always busy and don’t know how to properly manage your time, here are some hacks you could use to organize your house faster and easier:
Color- code your calendar
An easy way to stay organized is by color-coding your calendar by family members. Color coding is extremely effective and easy!
You can either use highlighters, markets or even sticky notes. For example, you can write your duties in red, your husband ́s in blue and your child's in purple.
Make a schedule
Organize the activities you do on a daily basis and put them in a schedule. Do one schedule for each member of the family and hang it on a board in the kitchen.
Every member of the family can check the board to remember their daily activities.
Use storage baskets to get organized
Storage baskets are great to organize all kinds of stuff from books and toys to blankets or pillows. This one is great because is big enough to store anything you want and it has handles in case you want to move it from the living room to your bedroom. Shop here.
Organize your freezer with plastic bags
You don't have to cook on a daily basis! Take one day a week to do meal prep and store the food in plastic bags in the freezer. Make sure you remember to take the food out of the freezer the night before so it’s defrosted when you need it.
You can also freeze fruits or veggies that are about to go bad so they can last longer.
Keep the pantry organized with jars
Sometimes we open plastic packages the wrong way and then we don’t know what to do with what’s inside. To prevent this from happening, find some jars to organize the ingredients you use like seeds and spices. Make sure you label them to remember what’s inside!
